Based on a Pulitzer Prize-nominated play, Talk Radio is an intense film that stars the writer of the play. No one else could play the role as well as Eric Bogosian. Bogosian plays a night time radio talk show host who's as love as much as he's reviled. As his show gets picked up for national broadcast, he continuously receives strange, threatening calls from a demented listenter. Oliver Stone handles the film very well, deliberately pacing it in a slow, yet constantly moving and entertaining manner. It's definitely a film that deserves the high definition treatment, as the DVD is pretty unsightly on modern HD monitors.
