1983 ***** 170 mins.

Like it or not, there is no denying the huge impact that Brian De Palma's Scarface has had on the world. Very loosely based on a film from 1932, Al Pacino stars as Tony Montana. Fresh off the boat from Cuba, Tony rises to power in the U.S. with the help of a little thing called cocaine. This film is a very, very fun experience, and worth revisiting over and over again. Every time I watch it, I remember why I loved it so much growing up, and I still love it. The performances are iconic, the music is brilliant, the direction and visual style of the film is memorable and exclusive to this wonderful action epic.
