1989 **** 100 mins.
The first film from eclectic director Cameron Crowe has become something of a legend. It's a charming little film about a young man and a young woman from opposite sides of the tracks who fit together, mainly because they don't fit in with anyone else. It's a wonderful, realistic look at teenage life that I fully appreciated. What I didn't much care for, though, was the subplot of the girl's father getting into legal trouble. It's a great first feature from a talented director.
