Wild Strawberries is one of Ingmar Bergman's undisputed masterpieces. Starring Victor Sjostrom as a 78-year-old man who is about to receive an honorary award, Wild Strawberries finds its heart in the man's daydreams and memories, reminiscing on his life while taking a road trip with his daughter-in-law and some random hitchhikers. Some of the dream sequences have an oddness to them that feels like (but well preceeds) David Lynch. It's a beautifully shot and crafted masterpiece that all film lovers should experience.
