And yet, it feels like revisiting a lifelong friend after a long time apart everytime you watch it. Based upon L. Frank Baum's novel, The Wizard of Oz tells the story of Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland), who is the unfortunate victim of a tornado. She is whisked away to the magical land of Oz, only to try to find her way home.
