2001 **** 110 mins.
Widely considered to be Wes Anderson's best film, The Royal Tenenbaums does not hold up well with repeat viewings, for me, at least. An estranged familyi is brought together again, as the patriarch claims to be dying. Their egos collide, and comedy ensues. It has plenty of great moments, and it is stamped with Anderson's signature style.
Original theatrical aspect ratio: 2.35:1 (Panavision)
Rated R for some language, sexuality/nudity and drug content.
