THE LIVING DEAD GIRL

1982 ***1/2 91 mins.

I knew absolutely nothing about this film when I stumbled across an old DVD copy of it at my local FYE. I thought it looked interesting, and I recognized the director's name, even though I had never seen any of his films. I bought it, went home and watched it, and I completely fell in love with it. It's a French language horror film about a dead girl who is brought back to life after a chemical spill in the crypt under her old castle. She unwittingly feeds on human blood, and an old childhood friend is determined to keep her fed. It's artsy and gory in all the right ways, and is sure to entertain.
