There's no denying the fact that The Byrds are one of the greatest, most original bands of the 1960s. It's a shame that they're not as widely heralded as, say, The Beatles. Greatest Hits is a fantastic, single disc compilation that serves as a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into The Byrds. It features some of their best material from the high point of their career. Even though it's not as fulfilling as listening to the songs in their original context, on their original albums, and there are a lot of great album tracks that don't appear here, Greatest Hits is still a great way to get a Byrds "fix" very quickly.
