Rumble Fish is an unspectacular book by S.E. Hinton. It's written from the point of view of an illiterate young man who wants to be something, and the story just really goes nowhere. It's more of a character study of characters you don't really care about. Francis Ford Coppola made an equally unspectacular film out of the book that tries to hard to be artistic. Ultimately, Rumble Fish is a story that just isn't really worth telling.
