Stanley Kubrick's film about three men charged for cowardice in the face of the enemy in World War I is a brilliant film from beginning to end. Set in France, three men are selected as representatives from their regiments to be put under court martial. Great acting, writing, and direction through and through. There are many brilliant scenes throughout the film, but there are few scenes in cinema history quite as brilliant as the ending scene, which features the woman who would become Kubrick's wife until his death 42 years later.
