I've never really been acquainted with Lily Collins or her works before. However, when this book came out, something was telling me to pick it up and read it. Right before its release, I'd been through some personal turmoil, and this book came along at just the right time. Much of it reads like a simple self-help book, Lily talking about how she learned to love herself, and that's just what I needed. It's not exceptionally well-written, though, which is both good and bad. It's a brisk read that gets its point across without dawdling. However, like Anna Kendrick's recent memoir, Collins' words seem to have gone through a strict "PC Filter," so as not to offend anyone.
