I'll just get this out of the way right up front. This...film...is...sloooooooooooowwwwwww! If you're expecting anything at all like the original 1978 classic or the not-so-good 2010s trilogy, then you'd be better off staying away from this one. If you're adventurous like me, though, and you appreciate long, slow art house films, then give this one a shot. It's written and directed by the creator of the original film, and it even brings back the original star, Camille Keaton. It's an interesting blend of art house cinema and revenge flick, as Jennifer Hills (Keaton) and her daughter are kidnapped by family members of Jennifer's original revenge victims, intent on getting revenge themselves. Vividly portrayed characters and Meir Zarchi at the helm make this well worth sitting through.
