Telling the true story of three African American women, who were the real brains behind the NASA space program in the '60s, Hidden Figures is a powerful film that really packs a punch. Filled with great performances and craftsmanship, Hidden Figures never lets its message become to heavyhanded. It makes its point amidst a welcome breadth of humor, making it accessible to a wider audience. It's a very smart move for our modern days. We've been making many large strides towards racial and gender equality in our time, and Hidden Figures is exactly the kind of film we need right now. It's gorgeous and uplifting, reminding us of how far we've come since the '60s. We really are on the right track to a better world. Let's keep this rocket ship blasting off into the stars!
