Even though I'm glad there's a more direct adaptation of Joseph Conrad's brilliant novella than Francis Ford Coppola's equally brilliant Apocalypse Now, this made-for-television film isn't anything special. Which is sad, due to the level of talent both on and off the screen. Directed by Nicolas Roeg and starring Tim Roth and John Malkovich, this film held such promise from me. All in all, though, it's pretty lackluster.
