The debut album Ashley Frangipane, aka Halsey, is a stellar effort. It may not always succeed, especially in its extended, 16-track version, which includes "Hurricane," "Colors Pt. II," "Strange Love," Gasoline," and an amazing cover of Johnny Cash's "I Walk the Line," but it sure is a lot of fun, and Halsey sure has a lot to say about life and the world we live in. Once you're done jamming to your first listen of the album, be sure to listen to it again, paying close attention to what she has to say. "Colors" is, by far, the best song on the album, and it's sure to be stuck in your head for days, but the rest of the album has plenty to offer. I am anxious to see what the future holds for this incredible talent.
