The granddaddy of all monster movies is still the best. Japan is terrorized by a giant radioactive monster from the deepest depths of the ocean. Suspenseful pacing and great special effects paired with the black and white cinematography make this a masterpiece. No matter how hokey the sequels and remakes may have gotten over the years, there is no denying the beauty, power, and majesty this original film still has.
