I'd heard all the hype surrounding this movie before I saw it. I was honestly surprised because all the critical acclaim is not necessarily something you'd expect for a film directed by Jordan Peele. Well, all the acclaim is warranted. Get Out is unlike any movie you've ever seen. It has a lot to say about racial inequalities in our society, but it does it in such a way that it's not preaching. In fact, it makes you really, truly think and analyze your own self. It's a haunting, frightening film that does take a direction in the end that I did not expect, and I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about. An interracial couple visit the girl's parents for the weekend. Her parents have African American servants who act stragely...or...do they? You'll be second guessing yourself throughout most of this truly amazing, original motion picture experience.
