When it comes to murder mystery/suspense/comedies, Charade is at the top of the list. Hailed by many critics as "The best film Hitchcock never made," Charade radiates with a charm that most films of the genre lack. Audrey Hepburn is perfect, as always, as Regina Lampert. Her husband has just died and left behind him an elusive $250,000. Everyone wants it and thinks Mrs. Lampert has it. She hasn't a clue. Leave it to the ever-changing "Peter Joshua" (Cary Grant) to make things better...and worse. Charade is an irresistable masterpiece that is best appreciated by watching the Criterion Collection's fantastic blu-ray. Steer clear of all the other cheap DVDs floating around out there.
