CARNIVAL OF SOULS

1962 ****
Original Theatrical Version runs 78 mins.
Extended Director's Cut runs 83 mins.

Carnival of Souls is a very, very creepy film that's very well shot and directed. The only real drawback is the supporting character who tries to get the main character to go out with him. After a car accident, a woman escapes and goes about her normal life, but the recurring appearance of a strange man keeps her and the audience wondering "what in the world is going on?" Obviously a major influence on director David Lynch.
